Sanskriti Review

Sanskriti is located at Inorbit mall malad. Went there on Saturday with my girlfriend. Got an offer from snapdeal, one-on-one free. We opted for the Maha sansthali (Rs 350). We had the option of getting another thali of the same or lesser value for free. We opted for the dal baati thali (Rs 230 otherwise).

The food arrived in 5 minutes. Most of the dishes are prepared before hand so you get the food pretty quickly. Needless to say it is self-service as it is located at the food court. It took us a long time to locate seating. Weekends are a crowded time so make sure you locate your seating before hand.

The food was decent. The maha Sansthali included Rice, 5 chapatis, 1 mutter panner, 1 rajma, 1 aloo methi, 1 Gobi ki sabji, 2 gulab jamus and 2 chaas. Must say that the salt was less in the food. Could be, because I’m used to having more salt in my food. However, my girlfriend felt the same. The dal baati thali was strictly average. Having never tasted dal baati earlier, I’m sure I wouldn’t want to try it again. It was very bland with no taste at all.

Overall it was very average tasting Vegetarian fare. I’m sure you can get better vegetarian options elsewhere. Go there only if you have no other choice and get the Snapdeal offer so you won’t regret later.

Overall Score 2/5
